Tai Chi is a 'soft' martial art form (and is a very gentle form of exercise) It is primarily practiced for its health benefits. It emphasizes complete relaxation and is essentially a form of meditation, or what has been called 'meditation in motion'. Unlike the 'hard martial arts, tai chi is characterised by soft, slow, flowing movements that emphasize force rather than brute strength. It is a very useful tool in keeping mind body and spirit balanced for every day living.
