About the therapies and workshops
‘The programme is brilliant - it really helped me turn my life around and find a new direction. Helped me accept my disabilities and cope with them better. Inspired me to try new things’ (A participant)
Introduction to the Programme
The Positive Care Programme is designed to give attention to the mind, body and spirit, so that over time positive change may be experienced.
Each week we like participants to attend:
- a workshop course (Tools and Skills for Living / Mind, Body and Spirit/ Being Friends with your Body/Positive Step)
- a group therapy (Meditation / Exercise / Therapeutic Art)
- one individual therapy (Acupuncture / Emotional Freedom Technique /Healing / Homeopathy / Indian Head Massage / Reflexology / Shiatsu / Massage)
It is important that people do not do more than one individual therapy each week as many of the therapies work on the body’s ‘energy’ field or by removing ‘toxins’ and to have more than one individual therapy may be counter-productive.
We try our best to enable participants to experience the therapies they wish. The therapies and workshops are booked in four six-week blocks over the 24 weeks of the programme.
