How to join the programme or contact us

Who can attend?
a) Adults who feel they are having difficulty coping either with long-standing, physical or mental health problems. (For example people with heart disease, arthritis, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic back pain or other chronic pain, cancer, multiple sclerosis, ME, etc.)
b) Adult carers of a person with long-standing health problems.
For whom is it not suitable?
People who have attended the programme before and also people with psychotic illness, severe learning difficulties, severe memory problems (dementia) and uncontrolled epilepsy - since not all therapies are suitable for these people. (Their carers can attend, however).

When?
Thursday mornings 10am to 12-45pm (People can arrive from 9-45am to register). Term times only.
How can I join?
Places are limited, so it is best to book early. Phone Anne Hudson (0113 219 2727) during office hours or e-mail (positivecareprog@btinternet.com). She will ask you about your eligibility to join and then place your name on a waiting list if appropriate. During late summer, you will be contacted by to confirm whether or not you wish to take part and whether or not there is a space. The programme currently starts in the autumn annually (subject to continued funding).
